Patricia C Byron has had a varied and interesting life.
Born in Newmarket, she travelled extensively and lived abroad for much of her adult life before returning to the UK to put down roots in Cheshire. After working in travel and property, she now writes articles for magazines and regularly broadcasts on local radio.

Her book Last Orders was borne out of necessity. She had already lost one close friend to cancer and knew the difficulties that had to be addressed in tying up an estate. When she was asked to be executor of a second friend’s Will, she had no choice but to think quickly. Her friend was terminally ill and lived alone so Patricia needed vital answers to difficult questions. In late 2006, just a few months before her friend sadly passed away, Patricia wrote Last Orders to assist them both.

However, that is not the end of her story. When her mother died suddenly, Patricia learnt even more about the process of handling estates and dealing with many challenging aspects surrounding death. Her mission is to motivate us all into leaving clear, unambiguous instructions about our final wishes.

Patricia C Byron now presents talks on the importance of getting one's affairs in order, offering guidance and practical tips to ensure we all leave a tidy estate. She also contributes articles on the subject for a law based website, LAWSKILLS
